Happiness & Beauty Follows Once You Decide To Love Your Body

Our overhyped media-influenced perception of Beauty causes self-torture more than most other things.

Why can’t we be happy with our natural beauty?  We Are Never happy with what we have got.

Someone having wavy hair by birth wishes to straighten it permanently. While someone with straight hair looks for ways to make it curly or wavy. Light skin coloured people are getting tanned and dark skin coloured people are applying fairness creams and undergoing treatment for changing skin colour.

We do not like our face, we do not like our features, we do not like our body shape, we do not like our height, we do not like anything that we do not see on the screen or on the cover page of a beauty magazine. And, we make ourselves feel miserable and unhappy then.

If we continue to hate ourselves physically by constantly comparing our appearance to a forcefully induced ultra-realistic concept of beauty, happiness will constantly be our fleeting companion.

We do not think even for a minute that if we all look the same way then how boring it will be.

Beauty is in the eye of the beholder. We need to accept our natural appearance and believe that we are beautiful while standing before the mirror.  Stop seeking validation from others and change our appearance to fit beauty trends.

Nothing beats the beauty of a person who looks confident and carefree. This confidence comes when that person appreciates her or his body and accepts it gladly.

In a room full of people some will like you while others not. And, I am talking strictly here in terms of physical appearance only.

Some people like slim figures, while others find curvy more attractive. Some find dark more alluring, while others are inclined to light coloured skin. Some prefer tall people, while short height looks cute to many. There  will definitely be many who like you the way you are and will find you more attractive than anyone else.

Do not let others’ personalised perception of beauty confuse your sense of beauty and self-respect.

Accept your Body. Look for ways to keep it healthy and preserve its natural beauty naturally. Don’t make yourself unhappy by unnecessarily comparing yourself with others.

Your body will love you back when you treat it well and show your gratitude to it.
