Never Sacrifice Yourself Over “Don’t You Quit”

Many readers might think this blog is written by a pessimist or an escapist person. I can also guess that several will find it useless.

Just a humble request to go through it and rethink what you have always been fed by society, before dumping the idea in the dustbin.

Quitting is Also Hard

Quitting a job is never an easy decision. It always involves some pain and losing something good (whatever little) associated. But, if continuation means putting up with toxicity and forcefully convincing yourself that things will improve, it will destroy you by default.

Quitting a job if it serves you no good is not the sign of a loser. Your family, relatives and friends may say, “Just because your co-workers and managers are being mean to you it cannot be a strong reason to leave the job”. Your well-wishers might suggest continuing even if your seniors and team hardly ever acknowledge and appreciate your work. All of you here also might make a face repeating in your mind that yes it’s not good enough to call it a quit.

Things to reThink

A company has several options to fill up your designation as you are always replaceable. Why don’t we accept the fact that the company we’re working at present is not the only option we have? We can also replace it with a better alternative by applying to other companies in the domain.

Mental peacefulness and self-respect are two things you should never compromise with. When you decide to quit, the one thing that dreads you the most is others might tag you as an ‘escapist’. But, why should you be bothered about any of these? Are these outsiders that much more important in your life than your very life itself? Nobody who hasn’t walked in your shoes should not comment on how to fix your laces. Fullstop!

People can deliver powerful speeches and impactful quotations from the audience’s side. What’s happening on the centre stage with you they can never fathom. Naked truth!

Your mental peace, self-respect and happiness are in your hands mostly. These are the three assets you have that you should never trade with for anything. A perplexed mind takes a toll on health. An agitated mind cannot be fully productive. If the toxicity level in your workplace starts smothering you and compels you to stay on high alert all through your duty hours then it is the time to do something about it. And, what if you see the management board rewarding the inappropriate and interfering behaviour by letting it go unnoticed? it’s Time to Bow Out!

Remember, whoever is lecturing you to be tough and continue is not going to be with you during any sort of harassment and toxic situations you are facing at your workplace. So, it is entirely your decision to take the step to ensure your overall wellness.

Why Complicate Simple Stuff?

Nothing is more important than your health, which is impacted deeply by your mind. A strong mind never hesitates to say No. A strong mind refuses to adjust to any form of toxicity and hostility.

If you are not happy you cannot do a work with that level of clarity and efficiency that you are best known for. Being consistent doesn’t mean putting up with nasty people and getting rotten in the process.

Unnecessary Adjustments Invite Adversaries

If you constantly switch ON and 0FF an electric bulb will explode. Similarly, if toxicity keeps hitting you now and then it will devastate you from within.

Escaping toxicity is always an intelligent decision. You are not a tree that you have to stay rooted in one place irrespective of how precarious your surroundings are. Move to a better place. Move to a better job. Move towards your happiness and someplace where self-respect is not taken for granted.

Time to disassociate and reclaim your peacefulness and happy feeling. Quit if you want to because a better “hello” will not come until you can say goodbye to the former toxicity.

No need to establish and prove yourself who are committed to show you this respect and not give a damn about whatever good you do.

Stop Impressing, Start Living: Without Being A Nuisance!

Remember, life is too short to spend it trying to impress people and prove yourself to others. Never waste it catering to others who don’t matter and for whom you don’t matter.

Practice calling it quit for the sake of your betterment and peacefulness. If you have happiness and peacefulness you are already a very successful person.

What’s the use of being successful if your mind is scared and tortured, and your heart is neglected and bruised? Don’t keep up with the nuisance and also don’t be a nuisance to others.

There is always a better opportunity waiting for you. Gather up the courage, have confidence in your abilities and be bold enough to ignore popular opinions while cruising your way for better days.

We can never be peaceful if toxic elements surround us. We already have enough toxicity in the natural environment, don’t we? It’s time to detoxify our personal lives knowing when to call it quits.
