Marks the victory of Good over Evil. As per hindu mythology, Prahlad was an ardent devotee of Lord Vishnu but was born into a demon family. Irony of the fate is his father was a demon king who hated Vishnu more than anything. He had banned everyone worshipping Vishnu in his demonic kingdom. He used to torture worshippers and devotees of Lord Vishnu. On discovering his son growing strong devotion towards Vishnu singe birth, he tried every possible way (going to the length of planning his cruel assassination) to discourage and forcefully compel Prahlad forget Vishnu and stop preaching in his devotion.
When all his methods failed, his devilish sister HONIKA decided to end the life of Prahlad by burning him to ashes sitting on a pyre. She was long back given a boon whereby wearing a cloak she could save her from fire. She knew fire wouldn’t destroy her but would burn Prahlad to death. Grace to the Almighty, Prahlad came out of it unharmed while She turned into ashes. It was celebrated as the VICTORY OF GOODNESS AND DEVOTION OVER HATE AND EVIL.
Let’s burn all the Demons Inside Us present in the form of vices. Fire purifies all. Burning the vices inside us we can become a better being anytime we want. Goodwill to All!
THANK YOU, UNIVERSE!
