Do you know the outer layer of our skin needs scrubbing to reveal the hidden natural glow? A fine layer of dead cells mask the beauty beneath. Scrubbing helps to erase off that unwanted layer of dead cells and several impurities that mere cleansing cannot take care of.
In this blog, I will share with you Four Scrubs that you can easily make at home.
The ingredients used will not harm your skin. The funny part is you can very well eat this scrub, though how good it will taste I cannot guarantee.
Flax Seed + Chickpea or Gram Flour
Take Besan as much is required to scrub your whole body or any specific portion of your body. Grind one tablespoon of flaxseed. Blend these two ingredients together using little water to make a paste.
Apply it using circular motion to clean and also moisturise the skin at the same time. Keep it for 5 minutes and wash it off using regular water or simply take a bath.
Red Lentil + Turmeric
Masoor dal has always been a great scrubbing ingredient. Take a handful of red lentil and make a fine paste of it with an inch of Raw Turmeric.
That’s all. Don’t have to add anything extra. Milk is optional. Apply it all over your body. Wait for around 5-10 minutes.
Then go to your bathroom, put some water over your body. As it starts melting, use your hands to scrub the skin using soft pressure in a circular motion. And, wash it off as you complete your shower
Fuller’s Earth + Licorice Powder
Multani mitti mixed with liquorice powder is a damn good scrubber for your face, neck and arms. You can use either water or milk.
Scrub your skin using soft pressure in circular motion. Worksheet of using regular water.
Neem + Gram/ Chickpea Flour
Mix an equal quantity of Neem powder and Besan. Add enough water to make a paste you can easily apply on your face. Keep it for sometime and wash it off using regular water
Try any one of these above-mentioned homemade scrubs. It will not harm your skin. These recipes for a naturally clean and beautiful skin is something that you can eat as well. And, it makes a huge difference.
Know this,
There are a lot of other scrubbing recipes as well. But, I am suggesting these 4 only because the ingredients are easily available in any kitchen. Also, using these simple scrubbers will not be a messy affair.
Liquorice powder might feel a bit difficult to avail of for a few, but it can be substituted with flaxseed powder or sandalwood powder. All these ingredients are good for skin.
Never use a scrubber more than once a week.
Always apply something on your skin that you can actually put inside your mouth. Healthy skin is instrumental in making you look beautiful.
My next blog will clearly mention what to do and not to do while scrubbing your skin.
